Seeds of Change
Our flagship mindfulness and compassion course for people and teams working for social good.
About the Course
Modern life asks a lot of us. Even with the best intentions, it’s hard to avoid exhaustion, especially when your work is driven by purpose, whether that’s frontline support, community organising or systems change. When the challenges feel immense, we often respond by pushing harder, expecting more of ourselves, and forgetting that rest and restoration are part of how meaningful change happens.
Seeds of Change is designed for people and teams working for social good who want to ensure their own wellbeing and fulfilment don’t get left behind. It offers a structured, supportive space to step back from over‑drive and reconnect with what sustains you, with wide-reaching benefits for your whole team, how you work together and your social impact.
Drawing on evidence‑based approaches to mindfulness, compassion and Active Hope, the course blends guided meditations, reflective discussions and practical tools you can use immediately. You’ll explore how to meet the emotional and practical challenges of social justice work with steadiness, self‑care and a renewed sense of agency, strengthening both your inner resources and your capacity to contribute sustainably to collective change. As a team, you will deepen your relationships and learn new ways to foster collective care in your organisation, so everyone can thrive.

What previous participants have said
“Seeds of Change was exactly what I didn’t realise I needed. Tess held the group with warmth, clarity, authenticity and skill, creating an environment that felt accessible, enjoyable and, at times, profound. The mix of guided meditations, discussions, laughter, and tools made the sessions feel nourishing and practical in a way that felt real. I particularly appreciated how the content explored the personal and political as symbiotic aspects of an overarching and intersecting whole. I left the course feeling more connected to myself and to the world around me – with a renewed sense of hope about how to keep going.” Jacinta Kent, Group Analyst and Activist, Leeds
“I recently completed the Seeds of Change course, and I can honestly say it has been transformative! Without even realising at first, I now find that I have a completely different perspective on my work life, and how I approach challenges in general. Overall, the course has empowered me with a sense of control. I feel much more resilient and equipped to handle whatever comes my way. This course gave me exactly what I needed! Highly recommend it to anyone looking to gain more balance and perspective in their life.” Lucy Gardner, Community Organiser, London
“I was blown away by how Tessa’s Seeds of Change made me feel. The course started when I was feeling burnt out and drained from professional and personal demands and it came at the perfect time. Tessa’s warmth really shines, and she naturally brings the group together. I’ve missed it so much, but I am still reminding myself to use the micro mindful moments I learnt in this course when life feels too fast paced.” Kate Bowden, Bristol Mind
“The Seeds of Change course introduced a perfect mindful time into my working week. I learnt a lot, helping some new habits, but mainly I valued the space being held for us so skilfully by Tessa. Our group bonded and shared and it really was a highlight of my working week.” Karen, CEO of Bristol charity
